Blake Griffin suffers scary head injury, appears to tremble on the floor
The Los Angeles Clippers have struggled through the early part of the NBA season as they have stumbled to a 17-21 record following their 121-105 loss to the Golden State Warriors on Saturday.
Making things even worse for Clippers fans, star forward Blake Griffin suffered a frightening injury in the first quarter.
As Griffin drove to the basket, he caught an unintentional elbow to the face from Golden State center JaVale McGee.
The elbow stopped Griffin in his tracks, and he immediately dropped the ball to grab his head as he fell to the floor.
The injury got worse when he hit the floor.

As he was lying on the court, Griffin’s hand could be seen twitching before trainers made it to his side.
Trainers and worried teammates were at his side for several minutes before he was thankfully able to walk off the court under his own power.
Griffin was immediately placed in the concussion protocol following the incident.

Clippers coach Doc Rivers said he spoke to Griffin at halftime.
“He was struggling,” Rivers said.
The injury is the last thing the Clippers needed as Griffin had just returned to action on Dec. 29 after missing a month with a sprained MCL in his left knee.
Griffin will join a cast of Clippers teammates on the injury list as Milos Teodosic, Austin Rivers and Patrick Beverley have all missed extended time this season.
Now fans will have to endure his absence once again as he recovers from the blow.
The Warriors’ victory kept the Clippers in ninth place in the Western Conference.
