Confused Ocasio-Cortez Just Called Out Obamacare as a Massive Lie

Share

I love Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. There. I said it.

To be clear, I hate her ideologies. I hate her identity politics. I hate her rhetoric. And I really hate her supportive views on socialism.

But if you’re a conservative or a Republican, Ocasio-Cortez truly is the gift that keeps on giving.

Another person who loves Ocasio-Cortez? Fox News commentator Stephen Miller.

Glancing at his Twitter, Miller echoed my own “love” of Ocasio-Cortez after her latest public blunder.

Miller captured a since-deleted Ocasio-Cortez tweet and took her to task for it. It was readily apparent why Ocasio-Cortez deleted the tweet.

“Is open enrollment a pain? Yes. Is (Obamacare) expensive? Yes,” Ocasio-Cortez wrote in the deleted tweet that is breathtaking in how smart and stupid it is at the same time.

To give her some tiny bit of credit, her tweet is smart in that she’s 100 percent correct. Obamacare, to anyone without a blind allegiance to the former president, is undoubtedly a pain and expensive.

But what a dumb thing for a socialist, who’s trying to push “Medicare for all,” to ever admit to the public.

Miller followed up his original tweet with a searing question that no socialist could possibly answer without blatantly lying.

“Maybe a good question for the guardians of truth is if she says Obamacare is expensive, how is her Medicaid for all plan cheaper?” Miller asks.

Ouch.

It’s become abundantly clear over recent years that these socialist health care programs are fraudulent at best, and unconstitutional at worst.

Millions of everyday Americans know this to be fact.

The ironically named “Affordable Care Act” was hardly affordable at all. It killed businesses. It was gross government overreach. And that’s assuming you could even get on the website to purchase Obamacare to begin with.

Do you think many young Democrats are like Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez?

As Ocasio-Cortez’s now-deleted tweet admitted, it’s not affordable for American millennials who have grown out of being on their parents’ health insurance coverage.

In other words, it’s a massive lie, perpetrated on the American consumer by former President Barack Obama and the Democratic congressional majority Obama enjoyed in his first two years in office.

And Ocasio-Cortez told the truth about something for once.

While I’ve had a good deal of fun at the expense of Ocasio-Cortez thus far, I do have to get dead serious for a moment.

It would be one thing if Ocasio-Cortez were just a lunatic fringe. But she’s not. She’s a congresswoman-elect. As in, she has actual input in the government. That’s abjectly terrifying.

And as the rise of Bernie Sanders has shown, Ocasio-Cortez is hardly alone in her socialist nonsense taking actual roots in the American government.

That’s why it’s so important to call out people like Sanders and Ocasio-Cortez when necessary. Socialism is a failed ideology. Accepting even the possibility it could become the norm in American society could have disastrous consequences.

But if Ocasio-Cortez keeps making the types of comments she’s so prone to, maybe the whole movement will just eat itself.

Maybe. Hopefully.
